Basketball - Open Court
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in pick-up style basketball with peers to promote good sportsmanship in a fun, safe atmosphere under the supervision of our staff. The court will be closed to outside visitors during this time.

ABCDs with the Blue Belles
Set to music, participants will experience cheering, dance and/or baton twirling.

Aladdin Kids Dance Camp
Come learn fun dance/broadway/hiphop routines to "One Jump" and "Prince Ali" from Alladin. This course will allow students to learn beginner/intermediate age appropriate choreography, try different styles of dance, enhance presentation skills, learn the basics of being on stage, and gain self- confidence. No experience necessary.

All Sports Program
Students will gain fundamental athletic skills while working as a team to learn games such as floor hockey, soccer, kickball and group games.

April Vacation Program
Children will be divided into groups by grades at the start of the program. They will participate in activities such as basketball whiffle ball, floor hockey and indoor soccer. In addition, we have arts and crafts, board games, movies and special events.

Watertown Recreation and the Police Department are collaborating to offer a summer basketball league to promote sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun and positive setting. There will be a girls' league and a boys' league.

Creative Crafts & Games
Glue, paint, color, cut, sprinkle, make a mess. It’s all part of the fun! Come join us and meet new friends as we create special works of art that you can treasure for a life-time. This program will also incorporate safe classroom/table games. This class encourages creativity, teaches children to be proud of their accomplishments, and develop a sense of fair play and sportsmanship.

Do-It-Yourself Science Lessons
Create your own do-it-yourself science toys. Each week we’ll explore and build fun toys and gadgets that you make - and learn the science behind them. Make a mini catapult to launch a pom pom as you learn about energy and motion. Study how magnets work and make a moving magnet car. Sooth your mind with a silly sensory bag and celestial swirling bottle. Make a marble maze and design a house for an action figure. Creative engineering fun!

Family Time at the Club
This new program is an opportunity for family and close friends to utilize a space for open play that is designated just for them. The Watertown Boys & Girls Club basketball court will be divided into courts A & B, each for weekly registration of groups up to 6 people. Staff will supervise and provide equipment.

Field Hockey
Participants will gain fundamental field hockey skills while working as a team to learn the game in a modified, safe setting. The goal is an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and most of all fun.

Fishing Academy Program
Watertown Recreation and the Fishing Academy are offering a learn to fish program for students in grades 4-12. All fishing equipment and transportation will be provided.

Flag Football
This program will emphasize passing, receiving, kicking, defense and the rules of the game.

The general objectives of the program are to promote sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun and positive setting.

Futsal at Casey
The futsal program will consist of drills, scrimmages and games. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of futsal soccer and the excitement of being a part of a team.

Music Instrument Lessons
Students work with instructors who are professional musicians in the Greater Boston area. They perform regularly on their instruments and they have many years of experience teaching children of all ages.

Parks Adventure Program
Join the Watertown Recreation Department for a half day summer program for all Watertown children. Activities will range from arts & crafts, sports, drama, and many other activities geared toward their interests and age.

Pequossette Summer Recreation Program
The Kindergarten Summer Program is for children entering Kindergarten in the fall and the Pequossette Summer Program is for children entering the first through eighth grade in the fall.

Recreation Survivor Series
Weather permitting, the Victory Field Complex and potentially Casey Rink will be utilized during the winter months for a variety of activities Tuesday through Friday typically from 3:30pm to 4:45pm unless otherwise identified. The types of organized activities include basketball shoot-outs, flag football, obstacle courses, relay races, mini Olympics, track and field events, hiking, and street hockey to name a few. Registration in advance is required, daily registrations will identify age group, activity, and any time/location adjustments.

Wrestling Program
This program introduces children to traditional wrestling. Priority will be on basic skills of balance, strength, discipline, and technique while having fun. Dual meets and scrimmages will be scheduled outside of the practice dates. No Tournaments.

Younger and older children will enjoy learning the fundamentals of yoga in a fun and engaging class that is both active and calm.
