ABCDs with the Blue Belles A Baton, Cheer & Dance
Set to music, the participants will experience cheering, dance and/or baton twirling.

April Vacation Program
Children will be divided into groups by grades at the start of the program. They will participate in activities such as basketball whiffle ball, floor hockey and indoor soccer. In addition, we have arts and crafts, board games, movies and special event.

Cops & Rec Basketball
This program will focus on basketball fundamentals while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork. There will be a girls league and a boys league.

Cops & Rec Boys Futsal Indoor Soccer
Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper.

Cops 'N' Rec Dodgeball
The first week of this program will consist of pick-up games and then the teams will be selected. The teams will consist of boys and girls from different grades. We will schedule games each week for each team. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the game of dodge ball and the excitement of being a part of a team.

This program will consist of drills, scrimmage and games.

Cops & Rec Girls Futsal Indoor Soccer
Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper.

The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of flag football and the excitement of being a part of a team.

Learn the fundamentals of rock climbing and rock climbing safety. All climbing equipment will be provided by Central Rock Gym.

Cops & Rec Street Hockey
The objectives of the street hockey program are to promote sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun and positive setting. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the rules and fundamentals of street hockey such as stick handling and shooting.

The festivities will be held outside in the park.

Fishing Academy Program
Watertown Recreation and the Fishing Academy are offering a learn to fish program for students in grades 4-12. All fishing equipment and transportation will be provided.

Flag Football
This program will consist of drills and a scrimmage, then teams are created for the games played in the remaining weeks. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of flag football and the excitement of being a part of a team. Players must wear gloves for the duration of the program.

This program will consist of drills, scrimmages and games. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of futsal soccer and the excitement of being a part of a team.

Knucklebones
Six weeks of Survivor Challenges - With over 250 seasons from the US & aboard, Survivor has created some of the greatest challenges on television. Manipulating various challenges, participants will work to outwit, outplay and outlast through mental, physical and creative tasks. Working in groups, pairs and individuals, participants will be presented with their very own version of Survivor. Each week will present a new set of challenges for participants to conquer, register for one session or for all six weeks before space fills up.

Middle School Flag Football
The Middle School Flag Football league will play on Friday afternoons this fall.

Students will have the opportunity to use the gym for a variety of sports and games such as basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, etc.

Musical Instrumental Lessons
Students work with instructors who are also professional musicians in the Greater Boston area, perform regularly on their instruments, and have many years of experience teaching children of all ages.

Parks Adventure Program
Join the Watertown Recreation Department for a half day summer program for all Watertown children. Activities will range from arts & crafts, sports, drama, and many other activities geared toward their interests and age.

Pequossette Summer Recreation Program
The Kindergarten Summer Program is for children entering Kindergarten in the fall and the Pequossette Summer Program is for children entering the first through eighth grade in the fall.

Recreation Survivor Series
Weather permitting, the Victory Field Complex and potentially Casey Rink will be utilized for programs during the winter months. The Recreation Department will have at least two staff at the complex supervising the facility and offering a variety of activities Tuesday through Friday typically from 3:30pm to 4:45pm unless otherwise identified. The types of organized activities include basketball shoot-outs, flag football, obstacle courses, relay races, mini Olympics, track and field events, hiking, and street hockey to name a few. More specific information will be available prior to each week’s events, so please watch for additional details in the immediate future. Registration in advance is required, daily registrations will identify age group, activity, and any time/location adjustments.

Snow Removal Program
In coordination with the Watertown Middle School, Watertown High School, Recreation Department, Council on Aging/Senior Center, and the Marshall Home Fund, we are offering a snow-shoveling program specifically for our senior residents over age 60 and those who are disabled. Watertown Middle School and Watertown High School students are matched with senior residents in their neighborhood, and assigned to be responsible for shoveling snow from the sidewalks and driveways for the duration of the winter season.

Victory Open Field & Play
The Victory Turf Field will be open to High School and Middle School students only who live in Watertown. Come and play, practice in an information setting or join one of the recreation staff in game of frisbee, wiffleball or a game of your choosing.

Wachusett Ski / Board Program
This program consists of lessons, lift tickets, and equipment rentals for six Saturday evenings during the winter.

Wiffle Ball League
Warm weather is back and so is wiffle ball. Participants will develop pitches like curveballs, sinkers, and knuckleballs as well as how to hit them. The goal is to provide a safe, positive and fun environment to compete.

This program introduces children to traditional wrestling.

Yoga at Artemis Studio
Children will enjoy learning the fundamentals of yoga in a fun and engaging class that is both active and calm.

Youth Tennis
This program will concentrate on basic stroke, forehand and backhand strokes, serving and scoring.

Our lessons include forehand, backhand and overhead shots, serving and scoring.

Wat-Rats Inline Hockey
This program will be run as a league, teams will be created, games will be played weekly with a championship at the end of the session. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while playing competitive inline hockey with friends. Don’t forget your inline skates!

Ultimate Frisbee is a fun and fast paced game! Participants will learn the rules of the game, sharpen their basic skills, and compete with friends while maintaining the focus on good sportsmanship and fun.
